Well today I'm bringing you a bunch of protein recipes to try with your protein to keep things fresh, fun, and yummy :) Whey protein is so versatile that you can literally turn it into anything you want. Try out one of these recipes; they're my favorite! I've also included some of my favorite protein powders to cook/drink and the links to check them out.
Protein Waffle (recipe by @jazzythings)
- 1/2 cup oats
- 1 scoop protein powder (I used Cellucor Whey in Red Velvet)
- 1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1/4 cup cottage cheese
Blend all the ingredients in a blender. Pour the whole batter into your waffle maker, bake, and enjoy!
Protein Ice Cream (recipe by Dr. Sara Solomon)
- 1 zuchinni, peeled and sliced
- 1 scoop protein powder
- 1 cup unsweetned almond milk
- sweetner of choice (I used Truvia
Blend ingredients together, then place in your ice cream machine for 10-20 minutes.
Protein Shake
Just blend your scoop of protein with about 1/2 cup of any liquid, 1/2 cup of cottage cheese, and some ice and your protein shake becomes a milkshake!
Protein Pancakes
- 1/2 c whole wheat flour
- 1//4 c greek yogurt
- 2 egg whites
- 1 tbsp protein powder (vanilla is best)
- 1/3 tsp baking powder
Blend ingredients together, then pour small circles onto a pan or griddle on medium heat. Flip, eat, top, enjoy!
